    Held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June in each even numbered year.

     

           Primary elections - an election by the members of various political parties for the

           purpose of placing in nomination candidates for public office, with the exception of

           the President/Vice President.

     

                  Currently, Iowa has three political parties:

     The Democratic Party and The Republican Party.

     

           Polls are open from 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.

     

    Polling locations are as follows:

                City of Fort Madison             City of Keokuk           Townships/Small Towns

     


     

    Absentee Ballots available upon request.
