Absentee Ballots
Any registered voter in Iowa
who wants an absentee ballot may receive one. There are no effective
restrictions to limit who can vote by absentee ballot. No one must give a
reason, doctor's excuse or any proof of need.
However, absentee voting ends the day before the
election. With only a few very specific exceptions one cannot request or
receive an absentee ballot on election day.
Absentee ballots can be sent to your mailing
address or you may vote in person in the Auditor's Fort
Madison
or Keokuk offices.
In order to have an absentee ballot mailed to
you, please download the following form (PDF): Absentee Ballot
