The public facilities that a region or community
offers its residents directly affect the quality of life in the
community. These facilities also
influence the ability of the community to attract new residents and new
growth. Having the knowledge of the
present status of public facilities is important to determine the future
capabilities and cost efficiency of the county. Therefore, public buildings are particularly important in
determining the future capabilities of the county.
County facilities include the publicly owned
land, buildings, and utilities, which serves the county. The availability, type, and location of
these structures are important to the growth and development of Lee County.
