The Background Report is an inventory of the
county’s characteristics and condition. The purpose of the Background Report is to
provide an overview of the county that will help identify the principal
planning issues in the community and serve as the basis for the formulation
of the policy statements of the Plan in Chapter 3.
The Background Report is an inventory of the
following information that create Lee County:

Location and History;

Natural Environment and Resources;
¨
Demographics (population, economic, and housing);
¨
Community facilities and services; and
¨
Transportation system.
