NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPOINT OT FILL A VACANCY OF THE UNEXPIRED TERM
OF AN ELECTED OFFICIAL
The
Lee County Board of Supervisors gives notice of intent to fill a vacancy in
the office of Lee County Recorder by appointment. The person so appointed shall serve from the
date of appointment until November 3, 2010. Qualified applicants must meet the residency
requirement of Iowa Law. Duties of the
County Recorder are listed in §331.602, Code
of Iowa.
The
Lee County Electors are also notified that they have a right to file a petition
requiring that the vacancy be filled by special election within fourteen (14)
days of this publication. Anyone wishing
to file such a petition may contact the Lee County Auditor’s office.
