April 7, 2006 The Lee County Board of Supervisors held
an Emergency Meeting on Friday, April 7, 2006, at 10:46 A.M., at the North
Lee County Office Building in Fort Madison. Present: George Morgan, Bob Woodruff,
Larry Kruse, Rick Larkin and Joe Kowzan. All votes unanimous unless otherwise
indicated. Moved by Kruse, seconded by Larkin, to
approve a grant application with H.U.D. for $500,000.00 for purposes of
economic development. Moved by Woodruff, seconded by Morgan, to amend the
motion to include if there are no matching funds involved, there will be no
liability created for the County. The amendment carried. The amended motion
also carried. Moved by Woodruff, seconded by Kruse, to
set April 18, 2006 at 9:02 A.M., at the South Lee County Courthouse in
Keokuk, as the date and time of public hearing to authorize the submittal of
an economic development SET ASIDE grant to the Iowa Department of Economic
Development. Motion carried. With no
further action, Chairman Morgan adjourned the meeting at 11:06 A.M. The next
meeting of the Board is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 9:00 A.M.,
