      The Lee County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at 9:00 A.M. at the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk.

 

      Present:  George Morgan, Larry Kruse, Joe Kowzan, Rick Larkin and Bob Woodruff.

 

      All votes are unanimous unless otherwise indicated.

 

      Moved by Kruse, seconded by Kowzan, to amend the June 20, 2006 board minutes to include a received and filed for the Health Department, Carolyn Sue Wolf, New hire Companion, $6.38/hr. and Home Care Aide $8.33/hr., effective 3/14/06.  Motion carried.

 

      Moved by Kruse, seconded by Kowzan, to approve the June 20, 2006 board minutes as amended.  Motion carried.

 

      Moved by Woodruff, seconded by Morgan to approve a Contract for Services with The Fort Madison Housing Authority for the period July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007, for necessary building maintenance and property management services for housing owned by the County located at 615 and 617 3rd Street and 313, 325, 329 and 331 Avenue G in Fort Madison and 625 Morgan and 721 Concert in Keokuk, for individuals with disabilities.  Motion carried.

 

      Moved by Woodruff, seconded by Larkin, to approve a Contract for Services with Counseling Associates Inc., for the period of July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, to provide necessary mental health treatment, therapy, and patient care for individuals who meet financial eligibility criteria with legal settlement in Lee County.  Motion carried.

 

      Moved by Kowzan, seconded by Woodruff, to approve the following Resolution:

RESOLUTION #2006-54

      RESOLVED this 27th day of June 2006, that Jim Posz is hereby appointed as Lee County General Relief Director for the period July 1, 2006 to January 1, 2007.

Motion carried.
