October 3, 2006 The Lee County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, October 3, 2006,
at 9:00 A.M., at the North Lee County Office Building in Fort Madison. Present: Joe Kowzan, Rick Larkin, George
Morgan, Larry Kruse and Bob Woodruff All votes unanimous unless otherwise indicated. Moved by Larkin, seconded by Kruse, to
approve the Tuesday, September 26, 2006 board minutes. Motion carried. The Board received proposals from Penny
Logsdon, representing the Administrative Bargaining Unit; James Emmett,
representing the Sheriff’s Bargaining Unit and Alvin Krebill representing the
Secondary Roads Bargaining Unit. Moved by Woodruff, seconded by Kruse, to
approve a one-year Commercial Service Agreement with Mediacom Iowa LLC, for
back-up internet service, effective
September 21, 2006, for the North Lee County Office Building in Fort Madison
and the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk. Motion carried. There was no New Business or Citizen
Comments. Committee Reports: Supervisor Kruse
toured the Secondary Roads facilities with County Engineer Dennis Osipowicz.
He stated that the buildings are acceptable except for the Argyle Shop.
Chairman Morgan reported on last week’s disaster drill that was held at
Midwest Academy in Keokuk. Moved by Kowzan, seconded by Larkin, to
approve payment of claims. Motion
carried. Approved a Class B Native Wine Permit for The Flower Potter, Fort
Madison. With no further business, Chairman
Morgan adjourned the meeting at 9:23 A.M.
The next meeting of the Board will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at
