how they hide nuts for winter.
The First Forest Story and Forest
Activity
Students will listen to the First Forest fable and be able to answer
the question, “Why don’t trees have leaves in winter?” Students will be able to explain the

Teacher provides the following materials: plain paper and newspaper to cover
tables.
