    Oversize/Overweight Permits are needed for transporting loads over 80,000 pounds, are more than 13’6” high or 8’6” wide and a trailer or load length over 53’.

    Permits to Work In County Right of Way

    Permits to work in county right of way need to obtained when grading, building or modifying the right of way or structures in the right of way. Permits are issued by completing an application to perform work within county right of way stating what you are doing and where you are doing in the right of way. The County Engineer inspects the work area and determines if the job is allowable. If it is the permit will be approved and you may proceed with the work. There is no charge for this permit.

    Permits for Use of County Right of Way for Utilities and Tile Line Accommodation

    Utility companies, corporations, individuals wanting to install utilities or tile lines in the county right of way need to obtain a permit for use of county right of way. An application needs to be completed to obtain a permit. It explains where the work will take place and what the work will include. The County Engineer looks over the area and determines if the application is permissible or not. There is no charge for this permit.
