  Lee County Conservation Board - Parks & Recreation

The Lee County Conservation Board has played an important role in providing recreational opportunities for the people of Lee County since the Board’s inception in 1959.

Currently, the Lee County Conservation Board manages 28 areas totaling approximately 2641.5 acres.

Lee County’s programs and facilities are consistent with pertinent federal and state laws and regulations on nondiscrimination regarding race color national origin religion sex age and handicap If anyone believes they have been subjected to discrimination they may file a complaint alleging discrimination with the Lee County Conservation Board or the Office of Equal Opportunity U.S. Department of Interior Washington DC 29240.

Lee County Parks Are Open 4:30 AM - 10:30 PM - Daily.
During the winter gates are closed to vehicle traffic.

Scouts, church or other organized youth groups camp for FREE, but please contact the Board Office to make reservations and\or check on availability of facilities. Information is still need for our records.

CAMPING PROMOTIONS

POLLMILLER PARK continues to be our most popular campground. Chatfield Park and Wilson Lake Park are also nice parks with camping available. Take advantage of these opportunities and discover a new weekend getaway right here in Lee County.

CAMPING COUPONS - Booklets of 11 camping coupons, (each coupon good for 1 night of camping at any Lee County Conservation Campground) are available for $150. This allows a person to camp 11 nights at the price of 10 nights (at $15 per night). Coupons are available from the LCCB Office, Campground Hosts, and the Park Ranger. The coupons are valid for two years from date of purchase.

FREE CAMPING WEEKEND - On June 3, 4, and 5, 2011, the same weekend as the Iowa DNR’s Free Fishing Days, we allow people to CAMP FREE in any of the Lee County Campgrounds free of charge.

FREE FISHING WEEKEND - On June 3, 4, and 5, 2011, Iowan residents may fish for FREE in Lee County Parks. This also coincides with the Iowa DNR Free Fishing Weekend.
