    Home Care Aides

    There’s nothing like the comfort and security of home when you’re feeling ill. For many ill, elderly and disabled individuals Home Care Aide services make independent living possible.

    Home Care Aides provide:

    • Personal Care such as bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, skin and nail care, dressing, toileting and assistance with exercise can be provided.
    • Homemaking is a service which assists with light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, essential shopping, laundry and other similar tasks.

    • Medicare
    • Medicaid
    • Veteran's Administration
    • Private insurance
    • Private Pay (The majority of our services are available on a sliding fee scale to those who qualify.)

    Companions

    Companions provide custodial supervision, physical and emotional support and security to clients within their own homes. The focus of the service is to prevent family disruptions and prevent or postpone the need for admission to the hospital or nursing home.

    Telephone Reassurance

    Eligible clients receive a friendly weekly phone call. Anyone who is 60 years and older, lives in Lee County and is low-to-moderate income could be eligible for this service. This could be you or a loved one. This could be your parents, aunts, uncles or even your neighbors. This could be any eligible person who would like to have someone call and visit with them each week. The cost is free and donations are accepted. For more infomation or to determine if you or someone you know may be eligible, contact Jeri Welch, Special Services Coordinator at the Lee County Health Department.

    Lee County Health Department is always looking for mature, responsible persons to provide personal care, homemaking, and companion services to elderly, ill and disabled people in their homes.
