Three Rivers Conservation Foundation

The Three Rivers Conservation Foundation was formed on October 10, 1997, for the purpose of providing additional financial support to the Lee County Conservation Board. Increased demands for conservation and recreation activities require additional funding. The Three Rivers Conservation Foundation was formed to meet this need. The Foundation allows people to make a tax-deductible donation for the support of projects that otherwise would not be possible.

The goal of the Foundation will be to provide an endowment to the Lee County Conservation Board to aid in the Board’s efforts to meet increasing demands on conservation and recreation in the county. The Foundation will endeavor to raise $1.5 million dollars to provide this assistance. You can become a contributing member to the Three Rivers Conservation Foundation and provide your support for improved conservation in Lee County.

You can make a tax-exempt donation to the Three Rivers Conservation Foundation:

  • Contributing Member ($10-$99)
  • Supporting Member ($100-$499)
  • Sustaining Member ($500-$999)
  • Life Member ($1000)

A contribution to the Three Rivers Conservation Foundation can do a great deal for conservation in Lee County. The Lee County Conservation Board is charged with the responsibility of managing county parks and wildlife areas, providing conservation education for the public, assisting with habitat improvement on private lands and providing for the recreational need of the people of Lee County. Your contribution can purchase equipment or materials to help improve existing parks, buy seed or trees to help improve wildlife habitat, assist with materials needed in educational programming or help with the purchase of a unique natural area. All of these are programs that you can support with your contribution.

The Foundation will also accept bequests. Arrangements can be made with your attorney and the Foundation. If you have other questions about the Foundation, or if you would like to specify how your money could be used please call Tom Buckley at the Lee County Conservation Office.
